There is a saying...
“Share gratitude like a meal
And feed the hearts of the world.”
I cannot say thank you enough
For the all the blessings of this world
But a blessing has to be recognized
To be appreciated
I see a lot of people who just want to be
Appreciated for their very existence
They want all the appreciation
And the attention and the money and the power
Of course, I want this poem to be appreciated, too,
So I'm stuck in that mire like everybody else
Perhaps, real thank you's received are like little spoons
Which can be used to clear away a bit of the mud we're standing in
And if we gave out more thank you's carved from true appreciation
There might be less muck for us all to be stuck in.
